The M.E.A. is the local affiliate of the Massachusetts Teachers Association and the National Education Association. The Association is the professional organization that represents Teachers (Unit A), Administrators (Unit B), Program Assistants (Unit C) and Secretaries (Unit D) in Methuen, Massachusetts. The M.E.A. began as the Methuen Teachers' Club in 1939.
